Despite rainy conditions, the avid motocross enthusiasts throughout the New England area withstood the weather to watch the world's best riders in action on Saturday, at the Rockstar Energy Southwick National from Moto-X 338 in Southwick.

Rumours have been flying, saying that Antonio Cairoli will participate in the AMA National series next year with KTM, but after talking with the concerned parties, it's necessary to inform that these are only allegations and don't reflect the reality; Antonio Cairoli has signed a contract with KTM to race the FIM Motocross World Championship next year and for the future.

The crowded track of Matterley Basin hosted the 13th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, where Antonio Cairoli and Ken Roczen handed two more victories to KTM. The penultimate round of the UEM EMX125 series also took place today and Damon Graulus obtained his maiden overall round win.

Honda World Motocross rider Evgeny Bobryshev will not ride at this weekend’s (20-21 August) Grand Prix of Great Britain due to an injury sustained in the Belgian National Championship round at Balen earlier this week.

Following a break from competition over the past two weekends, the 2011 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship returned to action on Saturday for its ninth round of the season. Clement Desalle and Ken Roczen were the MX1 and MX2 overall winners of the Casino Bonver GP of the Czech Republic this weekend in Loket. The rain was present during the first races, which made the track more muddy and technical, but in the second heats the sun came up and dried up all the mud.

The demanding track of Lommel hosted the twelfth Grand Prix of the season meeting all the expectations. In both MX1 and MX2 classes there was incredible racing and Antonio Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings showed their skills on the sand wining the Grand Prix with a double victory in their respective categories.

The eighth round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship welcomed a massive crowd at Washougal Motocross Park on Saturday, as Rockstar/Makita Suzuki's Ryan Dungey, of Belle Plaine, Minn., captured his third victory of 2011, on a day that saw a dramatic mix-up in the 450 Class standings. In the 250 Class, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Blake Baggett, of Grand Terrace, Calif., raced to his series-leading fifth victory of the season.

It was the third time in a row that the FIM Motocross World Championship travelled to Latvia, and the Zelta Zirgs track of Kegums fulfilled everybody’s expectations hosting incredible racing in both MX1 and MX2 classes. Antonio Cairoli and Ken Roczen obtained one more Grand Prix victory and increased the gap with their pursuers for the chase of the Title.

Thousands of motocross enthusiasts surrounded Spring Creek Motocross Park on Saturday, as the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship hosted its seventh round of the 2011 season.
