Barcia Closes out AMA Supercross Lites Season in Winning Fashion

Ryan Dungey, of Belle Plaine, Minn., won his fifth AMA Supercross class main event of the 2010 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, season at the Edward Jones Dome in front of 59,882 fans. Geico Powersports/Honda’s Justin Barcia, of Ochlocknee, Ga., won the final race of the Eastern Regional AMA Supercross Lites class championship.

Pourcel Takes Win and Championship in Supercross Lites

Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, visited the great state of Texas for the second time in 2010 in front of 44,624 fans from Houston’s Reliant Stadium. After a one week break, the world’s best supercross riders returned to action on Saturday night as Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto, of Poulsbo, Wash., won his seventh AMA Supercross class race of the year. Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Christophe Pourcel, of Groveland, Fla., captured his fifth win of the AMA Supercross Lites Eastern Regional Championship season and claimed his second consecutive title in the process.

Philippaerts wins fight for home pole at Mantova

The Grand Prix of Lombardia started off with a great home duel for the MX1 pole position as David Philippaerts won today’s qualifying heat from countryman Antonio Cairoli. Championship leader Max Nagl ended third after having led the first half of the race.

KTM weekend in Bulgaria

The 1-2 in the MX1 class wrapped up a perfect weekend for the factory team with KTM riders winning all motos and sweeping top podiums - also in MX2 and in the opening round of the Women's World Championship. The result prompted KTM's Offroad Director Pit Beirer to comment at the end of the day: "Six out of six. It doesn't get any better than that!"

Pourcel Returns to Top of Supercross Lites Podium

The Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, return to Jacksonville Municipal Stadium welcomed 38,321 devoted North Florida race fans on Saturday night for round 12 of the 2010 season. After a tough outing one week ago, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto, of Poulsbo, Wash., rebounded to capture his sixth win of the year. AMA Supercross Lites Eastern Regional points leader and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Christophe Pourcel, of Groveland, Fla., grabbed his fourth AMA Supercross Lites victory of the season.
