The new second member of the Teka Suzuki Europe World MX2 team is teenager Arnaud Tonus. The Swiss carries similarities to his team-mate Ken Roczen in that his riding style is certainly easy-on-the-eye and ever since he caught the attention of motocross fans by winning the Ricky Carmichael Award at the 2007 Motocross of Nations, Tonus has been further labelled as ‘one to watch.’ Polite, reserved and progressing rapidly, he embarks on just his second Grand Prix season in 2010.

Belgian Champion Clement Desalle is the new face in the factory Teka Suzuki World MX1 team for 2010. The 20 year old winner of two of the final-three Grands Prix of the 2009 FIM World Championship arrives after a sensational season in which he reached third place in the final MX1 classification.

A hard-charger and with a wonderfully aesthetic riding style, Desalle is the hottest youngster in the premier class and will tackle the upcoming campaign for the first time as a Works rider.

2007 MX1 World Champion Steve Ramon is firmly in the midst of his recovery and rehabilitation programme from the C7 vertebrae he fractured in a first moto crash at Valkenswaard for the Grand Prix of Benelux and the fourth round of the FIM series four weeks ago.

2009 will see the same formidable duo of David Philippaerts (25 years old from Italy) and Josh Coppins (32 years old from New Zealand) represent the Yamaha Monster Energy Motocross Team for the second year in a row. Philippaerts as reigning MX1-GP World Champion enters only his third year in the category and just his second on the conquering YZ450FM.

The immensely successful collaboration between Yamaha Motor Europe and the Rinaldi Group has yielded an unprecedented eight world championships in the past ten years and once again in 2009 the Yamaha Factory squad now with the slightly different name of Yamaha Monster Energy Motocross Team enter the MX1-GP series as reigning champions.
