Cole Siebler wins his first king of Dortmund title

Cole Siebler
For the 29th time the Dortmund Supercross took place at the Westfalenhalle Dortmund. More than 10.000 spectators each day witnessed solid races although there were no big names on the starting list this year. So it was up to the German SX veterans mostly from the US and France to get the job done and win a Toyota car as for the overall of three nights.
Friday
Some of the favourites like Matt Goerke or Florent Richier did not make the main event on Friday so it was time for the SX verterans to grab a win. Mickael Musquin got the holeshot and led for a couple of laps before he stalled his Honda. He managed to get 6th in the end while Cyrille Coulon made his day after he took over the lead and did not look back. Cole Siebler had a bad start but managed to get second in the end catching Joaqim Rodriguez in the final stages of the main event.

Saturday
At Saturday night German SX series leader Matt Goerke showed off his true potential and won the main. Early leader Robert Kiniry got passed by Goerke and lost some ground only to come close again in the last laps. Rodrigues again got third depite being chased by Cole Siebler who came back from a bad start again.

Sunday

Finally Cole Siebler grabbed a good start and owned the race. Last years king of Dortmund Florent Richier chased the American for the first couple of Laps but lost contact to Siebler by mid race. Third place went to Matt Goerke who got a very bad start but rode an excellent race and was close on passing Richier for second in the final lap. His win crowned Siebler as the king of Dortmund for the first time which was honored with a brandnew Toyota car.

In the SX2 class US boy Austin Politelli won 5 out of 6 motos to become the prince of Dortmund 2012 for the second time after 2011.
