Schröter and Oldekamp at the Dutch Championship

The German based Team took another opportunity to race at the 5th round of the Dutch championships not far away from the German Headquartes. Dennis Schröter went out on the MX1 KTM bike while team mate Lars Oldekamp raced his 250 KTM in the MX2 class.

Dennis Schröter:
We have been testing here a few times recently, but I was shocked after one lap in practice. With all those artificial bumps just before the corners the track had lost its nice flow completely and I was really struggling. Practice was so-so, and then I tried to push too hard in my first race, which resulted in massive arm-pump after 15 minutes. I had to slow down and lost a few positions. 2nd race was much better, I had a good pace and only lost my 5th place due to a stupid little mistake towards the end.

Lars Oldekamp:
I also didnít like what they had done to the track, but I didnít let it bother me. I rode a good qualification and had a good start in the first race. Unfortunately I was taken down in the first corner and was second to last when I restarted. I pushed hard and steadily worked my way back up to 8th. After another good start in the second moto I rode well, even though my leg which was badly bruised from the crash in moto 1 hurt quite badly. My biggest problem was the lapped riders though, one of those incidents with a lapper allowed Brakke to pass me on the last lap.
