A more than solid team performance

The 5th round of the German MX Masters series was held at one of the toughest circuits available. The deep sand of Tensfeld suited well to the Team Silent Sport rider squad. Lars Oldekamp took the overall victory in the Youngster MX2 class while Dennis Schröder reached a valuable 10th overall in the Masters class on the demanding circuit.
Hendrik Nolting (Team Manager):
We set goals for each rider before every race and basically all three of them have more or less achieved what they had focussed on.
Lars as the title-candidate has to deal with the pressure to win every race. He rode towards a perfect weekend, when a hard hit to his formerly injured shoulder caused him to go down with only a couple of laps to go in the 2nd moto. He only lost 1 position and still won the overall, but heís not 100% satisfied understandingly. Nonetheless he extended his lead in the championship and is still right on track.
Michaelís goal is to score points in every moto. He has been riding without trusting his abilities enough in the past, so after we told him he should be more aggressive on the bike we canít be too disappointed about his crash in the second heat, as this is the risk that comes with it. He rode really well in both races and heís getting better with every race, making it a lot of fun to work with him.
After the disappointing weekend of Prisannewitz Dennis proved that heís still fit and fast. Even though a collision with Schmidinger in the first lap of moto 2 set him back half a lap behind the field, he just put his head down and never gave up. 10th overall in a very competitive field is the reward for his strong performance.
