After many years with KTM Germany MX2 rider Marcus Schiffer switches to an Italian team. The 22 year old keeps riding KTM as he signed a two year contract with the Silver Action team. 2010 is the last possible year for Schiffer in the MX2 class due to the new age regulations.

Schiffer had a difficult 2009 season. After a couple of heavy crashes his season ended after the Lierop GP with a major shoulder surgery. Other Team Silver Action riders will be Klemen Gercar from Slowenia and Alessandro d'Angelo from Italy.

Danish rider Nikolaj Larsen is going to switch from a Dutch based Suzuki team to the Italian SRS Honda team. The best result in 2009 was an 12th overall at the Dutch MX2 GP at Lierop which helped him to finish 27th overall in the MX2 world championship.
